Equestrian writing

I compete at fourth level dressage, working toward Prix St. Georges, with a string that includes a chestnut sport horse. I write about the sport not as an observer but as a participant — which means I understand what it feels like to school a half-pass, sit a spook, or chase a qualifying score.
